    Travel book recommandations:
Before this trip, we spent hours in Waterstone in London(a huge bookstore)to find the best travel books.
Finally, we choose 3 of them which are quite complementary. So we might recommend:

  • South India Handbook - Footprint
Good comments (specially on religion, architecture,history...). Average for hotels.
  • South India - The rough Guide
Really good to choose hotels, but few things on towns.
  • India : Kerala and the south - Landmark visitors guide
Good to go out of the main roads. But nothing on hotels.

    Maps:
Find a good map of India is a nightmare. Town names and road are never the same. We manage to use a big map which was with another travel book.
